PE and Sport Premium
The Government provides the PE & Sports Premium Funding to support the delivery of PE and sport in primary schools. This funding is ring-fenced and allocated directly to primary schools across England, providing them with a dedicated resource to invest in PE and sport.
The funding is allocated through a lump sum for each school and a per-pupil top-up mechanism. The formula references the number of primary-aged pupils (i.e. children between the ages of 5 and 11).
Please see below the sports spending and impact statement for the last two academic years.
In 2024, 100% of the Year 6 cohort met the expectation in Swimming.
In 2025 88% of the Year 6 cohort met the expectation in Swimming.
Where children had not met the expectation by the end of year 5 they are offered and receive additional lessons in Year 6.
